Frontier Alicante 🧑‍💻🌞🏖️🥘

The international conference for software engineers hosted in Alicante, Spain.

[Frontier Alicante 🧑‍💻🌞🏖️🥘 @FrontierAlicant]

We couldn’t be prouder of this community. Sometimes, things simply work better than anyone could have ever expected. That’s what happened at our first edition back in 2017, and those magical vibes have been back every year since.

See you all in 2027. ❤️

I had a nightmare where I submitted 2 CFPs to @FrontierAlicant, and one got accepted. I gave it on the afternoon of the first day, and then on Day 2, I look at the schedule, and @vicqr put my second talk (which I did not prepare) for that afternoon.

My improv did not go well.

For those of you who missed the announcement during the conference: after nine years, React Alicante is becoming Frontier Alicante. 😊

The reason is simple. We want to keep doing what we set out to do in 2017: bring together people interested in what is happening at the frontier of software development.

React Alicante was the perfect name for that community when we started, since React was something new, exciting, and very promising. Today, React is a fully established technology. In many senses, we can say that React won: many of the things we see today are, in some way, descendants of React.

We feel that it is time for us to evolve in order to remain the same. We want the name of the conference to encompass anything that could be of interest to software engineers who want to keep up with the state of the art of software development. At the same time, we are keeping the same spirit, the same community, and the same way of doing things. The name changes, everything else remains.

🎟️To celebrate the announcement, we are releasing the first 50 tickets at our lowest price. (Only 20 left, scan the QR👇and grab yours!)

Thank you everyone that took part in React Alicante 2026. ❤️ See you next year!

How smoothly I transitioned from the end of my talk, the last of the Day 1, to a calm state of tapas and friends shortly after!

Sometimes I got to absorb the learnings from up close on Day 1 @ReactAlicante

Had the best time giving a new talk @ReactAlicante this year! Exciting to see speakers and attendees from Spain, Europe, and beyond learning the latest industry stuff together. @vicqr and @nacmartin have created a truly great experience. Thanks for having me again!

3 of my favourite things at the centre of a “performance at scale” type talk.

Perfect.

Day two keeps going strong with @kulkarniankita9 💪

[Aileen Villanueva @aileenvl]

So glad to see @matteocollina again this year!

And also @aurorascharff don’t miss the opportunity to see her too at @jsconfmx

And the opening day started with @danieljcafonso

Lots of opinions and chat about AI at this event.

Now it’s time for actionable insights.

Great session @aileenvl. It was worth the extra years wait!

Thank you, React Alicante 🇪🇸🫶🏻

Speaking here was a highlight of my year. Huge thank you to Victoria and the organizers for running one of the kindest, best organized and curated events I've been to.
