LFC season ticket holder, front of the Kop. Tactics, data, and what it actually looks like from the stand. Trying to understand the game, not win arguments.
I think Florian Wirtz could explode under Iraola, and Kroupi’s numbers from last season show exactly why.
Same position. Completely different attacking output.
The numbers suggest Iraola could unlock a side of Wirtz we barely saw under Slot. 🧵

@ElBrethers Why is it fine for a club to run a contract down when they’ve decided they don’t want someone, but a betrayal when a player does the same? That’s the bit nobody answers.
And in the ground, the anger is nowhere near what it looks like online. If the deal’s there, you do it.
I agree, don’t like Rio on the right at all. I’m extremely confident in the manager and I think by Christmas the whole narrative will have changed, we are still good enough to pick up results without being our best. Very confident for the weekend, don’t think Forest looked great against Leeds. I will be there so always have to be hopeful!
Yes it’s late, yes I’d prefer business to be done earlier in the window but sign barcola minteh and camara and bloody hell what a window that turns out to be! Some big gaps addressed not all but a good few!

One option I’m not seeing people mention and I’m not saying it’s long term but why not play Araujo RB and Frimpong RW??
Iraola usually has one fullback more defensive than the other, Frimpong definitely more of a winger than a full back and Araujo will be more solid

@dominict47@Pablotommo_ Gakpo somehow has entered the conversation and I don’t particularly disagree with you on Gakpo but you can have more of the ball which could give you better numbers but you don’t do anything with it, Grav for example more touches and better pass completion but he struggled
@dominict47@Pablotommo_ You can have less of the ball and still be creative, if Rio had 10 touches and 9 were shots on target and created 1 big chance with the other that’s better than Gakpo’s 50 touches, you still have to get on the ball and take risks and want to make things happen
@dominict47@Pablotommo_ I’d argue that his engine that you said he has helps him press aggressively too and his numbers for progressing the ball which I’ve already shared prove he does that pretty well too, can also still be coached and improve on things too
