@BRVogt Some of our members use a the lasagna technique (smother grass with cardboard & deep mulch), or some have used manual sod cutters (those half moon shaped edgers) to remove sections of grass to compost without the need for a gas sod cutter or chemicals, which also works great.

Every day around sunset, these longhorned bees call it a day and head for their favorite Goldenrod roost.

This is the second year that we've noticed these cute Melissodes bimaculatus male native bees clustering at night to sleep in this patch of Canadian Goldenrod in Denver.
