I saw the Daily T podcast and Emma comes across amazingly sane considering her life trajectory. For all those ghouls in public service who wanted a look. They should all have been sacked. I am surprised employers found reasons to retain them. No accountability
After the inquiry concluded its oral hearings this week, the public learned the following about the institutional response to the Nottingham murders.
Eleven NHS trust staff were sacked for improperly accessing the medical records of the victims.
Twelve received final written warnings.
Nottinghamshire Police staff were found to have viewed footage and images of the attacks multiple times without legitimate policing purpose.
Court personnel improperly accessed case information in January 2024.
Seven probation officers accessed sensitive files — four without justification.
The Ministry of Justice’s data protection unit concluded these breaches did not warrant further action.
That last line deserves to be read again.
Seven people improperly accessed sensitive files relating to murders.
Four had no legitimate reason to do so.
The conclusion of the MoJ’s data protection unit: not serious enough for further action.
Barnaby’s mother had to complain personally before Nottinghamshire Police would even audit how many times and how often staff had viewed footage of her son’s killing.
This is the institutional response to one of the most devastating criminal failures in recent British history.
Not accountability.
Not consequence.
Voyeurism, cover-up and the quiet shelving of internal reviews.
The inquiry’s director general of police oversight said they had “let down” the families.
That phrase — “let down” — does a great deal of sanitising work.
Three people were murdered by a man every institution involved knew was dangerous.
Every warning was missed, minimised or ignored.
And then, when the families sought answers, those same institutions improperly accessed records, withheld information, and in some cases actively obstructed the process.
Emma Webber is right.
There was “cover-up over transparency.”
That is not an accusation. That is the documented finding of a 14-week statutory public inquiry.
@LucyTCWife So in short, what your saying this person isn’t buying a copy of the book? When I was at school we were normally mean to the girls we liked, does this apply in adulthood 😂😂
💯 This. After the Tories and all the MANY PM’s they gave us. Let the ppl decide. If that means Starmer stays then he stays. Please vote, don’t sit at home. Get out and use your vote. It’s so important we choose who leads the Country. Vote Reform too
I’ve just arrived in Makerfield to help get Reform UK candidate Rob Kenyon elected in this absolutely crucial by-election. 🇬🇧
If I were a resident of Makerfield, I would be incredibly cross, enraged and angry that local people are being dragged into a by-election purely to further the career ambitions of one man.
Let’s not forget — if he wins, this could trigger yet another by-election for Mayor of Greater Manchester and potentially a Labour leadership contest that could ultimately decide who becomes our next Prime Minister.
I personally believe the next Prime Minister of our country should be chosen by the British people in a General Election — not effectively decided through political manoeuvring, internal party games and one constituency being used as a stepping stone.
People are fed up with career politicians.People are fed up with Westminster games.People want honesty, transparency and common sense back in politics.
The only sensible, common-sense vote in this by-election is Reform UK and Rob Kenyon. 🇬🇧

@MichelleDewbs@GBNEWS What time are you resigning and going back to we the ppl for a GE. Labour are actually making the Tories look popular. That is quite a trick
@LoisPerry26 I am pretty much in the if not illegal do as you please. This is pretty fucking sick though. What an utter wrong ‘un. Also as a man I wouldn’t / couldn’t get involved.
@LeeHarris Alas. If you think “left” then this doesn’t mean two tier policing. When you no longer police evenly your creating different justice. ALL people should be treated the same by police. That’s really it. Trouble is a lot of the country just doesn’t care anymore.
@ryanjasper2302@WestHamViews_@ExWHUEmployee with Tripp who still played 37 times for the Toon last year I would have swapped AWB (cash in) Tripp on a free. Different players with different outcomes to West Ham.
@StevenJonMiller No. It’s pretty much the same / worse a little since end of covid. Indeed getting my local GP is no a little more complex. I would honestly love to see an improvement.
@KEdge23 Belief and optimism vital elements to us all. I voted Blue and was ok, one more chance (twice actually). Never again, they lied and abused the trust of their voters. Lies, Lies and more lies. Never voting blue again.
@donmcgowan Your welcome to your opinion. Democracy and freedom of speech is good. Not sure you speak for 89.3% of the UK population though. You speak for yourself alone, that’s it. of course feel free to take pictures of the 63 million people going, yeah Don’s got my back.
@ZiaYusufUK We need to review police guidance. So yes probably so. Never forget the victims. Find a solution that is equal to all in the main. Also for the Tories. Folks you sacked Suella for her talking about 2 tier police. They are not serious
As ever. Our Lammy unable to explain his own actions through the lens of time. Politicians whose only brief is to be populist in the now should all resign and let a grown up have the job. Can’t always be popular.
