@theymerSophie That's my personal hot take, but it doesn't actually answer the question of "is Strahd hot". Maybe I just don't fully grasp the question? I understand "hotness" more as a function of attitude/confidence/presentation than anything else tbh. I'm also acespec, so ymmv lmao
@theymerSophie I think Strahd should be hot for a time. Like, hot in a dark/evil way until you get the lore. And then he should definitely not be hot. He's basically written as an abuser. He presents himself as deep and hot and mysterious, but it's an act, and behind it he's pathetic and cruel.
@drivingmemadi Sometimes when you dig deep into your trauma and keep digging and digging and digging, all you end up with is mud on your hands. You don't need to understand, for example, why someone hurt you. Sometimes it's enough to acknowledge they did, then try to find a way to move on.
@jessiegender Three characters in Critical Role Se1 were hinted to be bi or some other flavor of not entirely straight, but never shown in a relationship with anyone of the same gender: Vex, Keyleth, and Scanlan. The latter was actually confirmed to be not straight on twitter iirc.
@mizphantasm@ContraPoints i think it may be justice 2 with a focus on envy as a driving force of revolt + perceptions of marie antoinette! based on the bloody neck and the imagery of the necklace im guessing shes covering the affair of the diamond necklace which is a WILD historical identity theft case
watching the rise of skywalker w/friends and realizing something weird.
we're an hour into the movie and rey has fully closed her mouth for. like. the second time.
her lips are constantly parted.
what's up w that.
@terreeslavie @showmetheyamz So basically, hang in there. ❤️ I don't know what your stuff is, but it gets easier to carry with time, practice, help, and of course good packing technique.
@terreeslavie @showmetheyamz Yeah! I got therapy for my trauma from two therapists. First one helped unpack it, and when he quit I was devastated. Second one helped me work through it a lot more. I still have some bad days, but it's gotten a lot better. Most days (70% maybe?), it doesn't affect me at all.
my parents have been together for almost 40 years and my dad still captions the overwhelming majority of the photos of her that he sends to us kids as "the beauty (at x location/doing y activity/displaying z emotion)" 🥺
So far, John Polidori's The Vampyre is a lot of Polidori pre-emptively sucking up to Lord Byron before the ego blow. "Wow, my protagonist sure admires Lord Byron and loves his poetry! Um anyway here's a guy named after the caricature his ex did of him he's an evil monster byeee"
my partner is also my best friend, which is amazing bc we live together and that means i basically get to have sleepovers with my best friend all the time!
