The Sims 4 went free-to-play in October 2022. Yet Sensor Tower says 2026 Steam DLC revenue surpassed the base game’s total revenue during its paid era. Steam only; the game spent its first six years on Origin. Lunar New Year was its strongest 2026 sale, partly driven by China.
