not sure why I feel compelled to share this right now, but I do so I’m gonna. maybe someone out there needs to hear this. I struggled with suicidal thoughts for years when I was younger. it was rooted in self-loathing due to the way I was treated because of my spina bifida. (tw)

@spencerchild6 @Micaela_Darr @GavinNewsom @USCCB I can't speak for every diocese, but the bishop here has begun setting out guidelines for pastors so that they will be ready to resume public sacraments once it becomes civilly "approved" again. He also indicated that the other bishops in California are working to do the same.

@spencerchild6 @Micaela_Darr @GavinNewsom @USCCB In this case, though, it is probably part of the problem. Bishops often don't like to act on their own, so it comes down to who is advising a given bishop on these matters.
