This evening I had the honor and privilege to offer the Invocation at the Texas Peace Officers' Memorial Candlelight Vigil...

It was a 2.5 hr ceremony that was quite moving and left me speechless.

I still have immense respect for all who have served and continue to serve us well in law enforcement. My heart hurt for those families and the fellow officers who served alongside the fallen officers.

Such a great experience to see this trophy up close. After 41 years as a Texas Rangers fan (moved to TX in 1982), it is still hard to believe. World Series Champs!
