Spoke on @AJEnglish last night on the internet suspensions in India in light of the Anti-citizenship bill protests and how this may(not) impact the ongoing movement. Thank you @MGoodenJones @LaurenTaylorAJE

My wife (Beth) just made a brilliant characterisation of Boris: “I think he’s politically bipolar”, eg. A cosmopolitan and a nationalist, a social conservative and a liberal, public spending and a free marketeer. Genius!
Usman Khan was sentenced for serious terror offence in Feb 2012. Thought to be so dangerous by judge he was given IPP sentence to prevent release if still serious threat. Instead he was released 6 yrs later without Parole Board assessment. How cd this be allowed to happen? ...1
Angry (and excellent) piece @MarinaHyde, eg. on Boris’s multiple children: “What is regarded as ...evidence of unforgivable moral turpitude in working-class people is regarded as ...excusable and even glamorously rakish in chaps like Boris Johnson” https://t.co/GTgS6w8SH7
This government lobbied me personally to reduce waste targets saying the EU’s proposals on recycling were “too ambitious.”
The EU sets *minimum* targets which member states can always go further on but the Tories weren’t prepared to meet even these.
Don’t miss your chance! By the end of the week we’ll have laptops in every library where you can register to vote. It takes seconds and could help shape your future. Go go go!!
Hot on the heels of Farage, Johnson now gets the endorsement of... “Tommy Robinson”.
A dark future awaits us if there is a majority Johnson government.
Reactionary, nationalist, anti-immigrant, regressive on equality, isolationist, intolerant and indifferent to the powerless.
Very sad but also angry to hear that Hubert Howard, 62, died today
He spent the last weeks of his life in intensive care, still fighting to get citizenship.
Arrived in UK aged 3 from Jamaica, only finally granted citizenship here 3 weeks before he died

Given Johnson was prepared to abandon Northern Ireland unionists to get a Brexit deal by his self imposed October 2019 deadline, what would he be prepared to abandon for a self imposed Dec 2020 FTA deadline? The car industry? Farmers? The north of England?
Surprisingly both Johnson and Farage are right about the Brexit deal (and impact on a US deal) – Johnson that in theory it doesn’t prevent a US trade deal, Farage that in practice it probably does. This is the Brexit debate to come if the Conservatives win… 1/ thread
Wow. Extraordinary interview with Conservative MP Dominic Grieve on report Boris Johnson has blocked on Russian interference. ‘What Number 10 has said is not true. It’s a lie’
