Thank you @loadingreadyrun for sending us your business card! This is a great showcase for a clean, minimalist design that clearly communicates who they are, what they do, and how to interact with them. We especially love the subtractive contact info, it's real slick!
A week late in posting: we may not have made it to Houston, but we had a lot of fun this season, and saw a lot of really amazing teams move on. We'll miss seeing y'all down there, but we're sure you'll manage some sort of goofiness without us. Good luck everyone!
Our business card tutorial video is up! If any of you don't have business cards, and want to really want to make FIRST loud, consider making some! After all, now you've got a good place to start! https://t.co/t2andQn1XH
A big thank you to Mr. Peters and @GettyImages for sending this business card! We've realized how useful cards are this season, and we'll have a video out today or tomorrow sharing what we learned when redesigning ours. If anyone has an awesome business card, we'd love to see it!
Now that we've slept, we want to say that we're very excited to have made it to the finals and to have won Inspire on Sunday! Congratulations to all the teams who competed, it was a great event, and we look forward to seeing more of you all this season and the next!
The 2-week turnaround between League 2 and Interleagues is going by fast, yikes! That said, Tesla rankings are out and we're in 4th, neck-and-neck with @Roboeclipse_ftc. Oh, and League 2 had some solid dancing (thanks for joining us, @BeardedPine).
Two days left, and it's working! Drive practice is still *ahem* useful, but it's doing what it's supposed to. Fun note: while the arm looks to be moving quickly, that's running at only 0.1 power. Yay for light arms!
We've got 4 days until competition, and it's been a fast-paced night. First time cutting carbon fiber, and a lot of last-minute adjustments to our collector: looking forward to seeing it running, and what everyone else has been up to!
Welp, sometimes you enjoy the competition so much you forget to take convenient photos for posts. That aside, League 1 was awesome! Our bot did what we wanted with autonomous and hanging, and we got to see all the awesome solutions other folks came up with. Excited for League 2!
If you're working on the game at all, I'm sure there's questions you have about the field that you can't answer without it. We did, too, so we recorded some bits about the field we thought were important, and here it is for y'all: https://t.co/Y7J53qqTch Good luck everyone!
We had a blast, and were really happy to see the Green Jellybeans there too! The STEM category had 3 participants: Pacific Science Center took first, Green Jellybeans 2nd, and we took 3rd.
Our boat for the Greenlake Milk Carton Derby is starting to look more like something we actually feel comfortable being on! The time crunch between now and Saturday is a bit reminiscent of the season...
