UPDATE: WE LISTENED. THE GTD MINT WILL BE COMPLETELY FREE! FUDs, we’ve been closely following what some members of our small but passionate community have said regarding the Guaranteed (GTD) Spot. We hear you loud and clear: you feel that burning 2 FUDS should equal a completely FREE MINT. We sat down, did the math, and figured out how to make this possible. We want to reward our OGs for being with us since day 1. However, to give up the $0.70 mint price and offer a 100% Free Mint for TEMPO holders, we need to adjust our strategy to keep the project moving forward. Here is the updated blueprint we are putting into action to make the GTD Mint free: 1. The 7 Bounties on the 7 1/1 NFTs will only be distributed once the collection is completely Sold Out (SO). 2. Creator Fees (Royalties) will be turned ON initially, instead of turned off as we first proposed. 3. The WL Price will remain around $3, regardless of the fluctuating FUDS Floor Price on TEMPO. 4. (Optional but Appreciated): We would deeply appreciate it if those who benefit from the free mint do not list their Putrid FUDS below the WL or Public phase price. The team will own 0 NFTs from this mint; we will only buy from the secondary market when we organize community contests. OUR POV & THE ARGUMENTS BEHIND THIS Before dropping the first ideas, we discussed what minimum price could attract new eyes to our art while still funding the future of this project. Our ultimate goal hasn't changed: We want FUDS to become a mobile Real-Time Strategy (RTS) game, transforming our NFTs into gamified characters you can play with on your phone. Building a game - even a small indie one - requires massive resources: The Tools: We need subscriptions for everything - from AI coding assistants and visual assets to database hosting and cloud infrastructure to test the server builds. The Dev Cycle: Hundreds of hours of coding, UI/UX design, and mechanics balancing. Games that make an impact aren't built in a month; it's a long process. The Vision: We want to integrate FUDS and Putrid FUDS as two different competing factions, adding more factions of different FUD types over time. Why the Creator Fees and Bounty changes matter: If we drop the $0.70 GTD price, we lose the immediate cushion to cover the 7 1/1 NFT bounties upfront. Turning royalties on allows secondary market volume to cover those costs. Once those investments are covered, we can turn them off again. Furthermore, losing that $0.70 price means we have to absorb the cost of 3 months of subscriptions for the specialized video and presentation tools that help us market the project and lay the foundations for our game. Why keep the WL at $3? We know some mentioned the current secondary Floor Price of FUDS on TEMPO, but we base our math on the original $0.40 mint price. We know some bought higher on the secondary market, but remember: burning a massive amount of TEMPO FUDS will decrease their supply, naturally driving up scarcity. In the future, you will need assets from both collections to get better ecosystem entries, and you might even need to burn a TEMPO FUD alongside a Putrid FUD to unlock a completely new faction in the game. Stats on X don't lie. At a $6 WL price, as a small project, we risk pricing out the fresh blood we desperately need. We launched on TEMPO in April and gave it our all, but right now, it isn’t the place to grow at a higher pace. We aren't giving up on TEMPO, but if the community decides to bridge, we take that step together. The best time to be part of a project is since its inception, and we need to lower the barriers so more people can get to know us, support our art, and join the family.
