weekend edu | Standard Deviations

Here´s a simplified graph how I implement standard deviations (STDV)

Don´t use this as a cheat sheet for a certain pattern - it´s not about pattern recognition here.

Rather try using this as an additional tool for your decision making toolbox: Something that keeps you away from a bad entry, that prevents you from roundtripping a good entry or keeps you from closing one too early.

Although the underlying thought should (imo) alwas be: exits > entries

Therefore the key takeaway here is using the -2 / -2.5 and -4 STDV foremost as exit points if they line up with certain PD arrays (old highs/ lows, imbalances, blocks, etc....), then secondarily as confluences for entry POIs.

The -2 / -2.5 level is where I want to see price return to premium/ discount. Depending on the entry, here is where I ask myself if it´s worth watching price reverse to my entry or if I should take at least partials / close and re-enter higher/ lower.
The -4 level is where I want to be fully out of positions.

There is a ton of material out there already, you see them on basicially all of my charts. But I´d recommend giving @TraderDext3r a follow, he was the one bringing it to my attention initially, awesome charts.
