If within that time issues happen the executive branch can repeal them forcing the legislature

@DAngelo136 @lauralauramint Cashless bail was a recent law signed into effect by the previous/current governor, Hochul was placed (not voted) into the seat to complete the current term the window of time for the new governor to repeal it is still open by the wording of the law to keep it simple

@DAngelo136 @lauralauramint The legislative process doesn’t work like that it’s not a system of absolutes, there are checks and balances all throughout. Abortion is not something that is going to be legislated into or out of existence overnight it’s going to be a multi year drawn out process on that issue
