Tragic events, like the fatal shooting of Charlie Kirk, serve as a painful reminder of just how broken this world really is.
The world is broken.
Humanity is fallen.
The shadows are growing darker by the day. And Scripture is clear: things are not going to get better.
As the return of the Lord Jesus draws near, we are told to expect increasing trouble.
When Jesus was asked about the signs of the end, he listed peril after peril.
Paul warns that ‘in the last days difficult times will come’ (2 Tim 3:1).
Every known vice will be amplified.
Evil will multiply.
Lawlessness will increase, not decrease (Matt 24:12).
Paul goes further: ‘Evil people and charlatans will go from bad to worse’ (2 Tim 3:13).
It is unbiblical to think otherwise.
This world has only one hope: the coming of Jesus to set up His kingdom on the earth.
Jesus called it the regeneration/renewal (Matt 19:28).
Peter called it the times of refreshing and the restoration of all things (Acts 3:20-21).
No individual, policy or government can repair the brokenness of this age.
If you’ve been hoping for some political solution or earthly leader to bring a golden age, you’ve missed the point.
Only Jesus can, and He will.
He is the only one worthy to bring God’s redemptive plan to completion and take back the earth (Rev 5).
He will return to establish His kingdom on earth - physically and visibly.
There is the present, spiritual kingdom of Christ - Christ reigning in the hearts of all who believe in Him.
But one day that reign will be fully consummated.
Revelation tells us this kingdom will last a thousand years (Rev 20:4-6).
During that time, the earth will be rejuvenated.
There will be the renewal of all things.
Christ’s visible kingdom will be marked by universal peace, righteousness, and prosperity.
Even the natural order will be renewed.
Creation itself will be at peace, just as Isaiah foretold: ‘The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them’ (Isa 11:6).
‘The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest. They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea’ (Isa 11:8-9).
This is a beautiful picture of life under Christ’s physical reign on earth.
Our hearts yearn for your earthly kingdom, Lord Jesus.
All the dead in Christ will be raised to reign with Him.
All the redeemed of all ages will share in the glories of that kingdom.
After this, Satan’s final rebellion is crushed forever, and God will usher in new heavens and a new earth (a new universe).
Peter says, ‘According to his promise, we are waiting for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness truly resides’ (2 Pet 3:13).
The defining character of the new universe is righteousness. There will be no more sin, nothing unclean, no sorrow, no death.
That is the promise we cling to.
We groan together with creation, but we groan in hope, knowing that a new creation is coming.
God will remake the world so that sin, death, and suffering are gone forever.
‘He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death will not exist any more – or mourning, or crying, or pain, for the former things have ceased to exist’ (Rev 21:4)

The Elevation Church dropped a series on YouTube titled “The Wives” and they have done little to market that blockbuster. 🔥🔥
I saw 10 episodes, and was like, why is this thing not everywhere? Why is this Church hoarding a movie? Marital lessons full everywhere like water. 👇👇

These days I find myself Jesus Christ instead of Just Jesus, so you don't get it twisted. When I say Jesus, I mean the anointed one, the Messiah, the savior of the World. Jesus the Christ is what I mean. Get it?
