Natuashish has lost a remarkable Elder. Joachim Nui Sr. passed away this week at 92, one of the last nomadic Innu Elders and the last traditional Innu drummer in Labrador. I got to know the Nui family during my time in office. My condolences to them and to the Innu Nation.

Today we mourn Dr. Falah Maroun, a giant in surgery whose legacy lives on through the surgeons he trained and the lives they continue to save.

Today our volunteers worked side-by-side with local partners to deliver total hip replacements, urology care, gynecology services, general surgery, and plastic surgery to patients who need it most.
