@autumn30fps @sparr0 I've always thought that it was supposed to be a *smallcaps* E, e.g. 1.2ᴇ34, but that's not ASCII and thus was either impossible or just a pain to type in electronic spaces.

Imo, there isn't *any* non-terrible linear math notation.

@maikelsalazar @mholt6 I'm not sure what the security bugs are that Matt is referencing, but proxies can and often do rewrite, remove, or reorder URL parameters. By embedding the product ID as a "page" of the website, the parameter is no longer inconsistently considered "optional".
