@andrewdoyle_com Really, though, it was quite complimentary, calling you a "big name GC".
I hope you can let this roll off, as annoying and frustrating as it is.
@ConnKathie@ThePosieParker Teacher? We are talking academia - new research and peer-reviewed new ideas being published. Teaching is just a side gig for a professor, handled mostly by TAs.
Sex at birth is now a mandatory data item in the NHS core information standard https://t.co/QHAaF87UWW
This is an important step forward for patient safety and care.
The idea that sex is binary and immutable is not a "weapon" that is "rooted in fear." It is a fact that is rooted in biological reality. What is a weapon rooted in fear is the desperate claim by TRAs that those who oppose the abolition of women as a sex class are "bigots."
Anyone who is against sex-screening, like making the untrue claim that it is invasive, ask yourself why men just can’t stay out of women’s sport. Because that should be the easiest option, but it isn’t, and so women have to implement protections.
Congratulations @Martina 🩷
“They’ve said they regret that it was published, and didn’t go through its formal sign-off process, but you have to wonder how it got that far to actually end up on the Amnesty website.”
We are wondering the same thing.
Amnesty didn’t just publish a flawed report- it smeared women’s groups, parents, clinicians, and organizations raising legitimate safeguarding concerns as “anti-rights.” Rebuilding trust will take more than quietly deleting a report.
