A Tottenham XI comprised of players from eleven different countries taking on a Glimt side in northern Norway who's starting XI includes 9 Norwegians, 1 Dane, and 1 Russian (the keeper, Haikin). All the more impressive that Bodø/Glimt have made it to the UCL this way.
Takeaways from this morning's 0-0 draw between Bournemouth and Newcastle. Eddie Howe's switch to a 3-5-2 proved very defensively successful.

Future of Norwegian football⭐️
20-year old Norwegian RW/RB Daniel Bassi had a very strong performance off the bench in Prague today vs. Slavia. Threatened the defence whenever he ran with the ball, drew a penalty, and started the comeback for Glimt with a goal. (1/2)

Pape Matar Sarr with another strong performance and goal coming off an international break where he scored a crucial match winner for Senegal. Expect him to have a breakout season this year under Thomas Frank, who has clearly taken a liking to the 22 year old midfielder.

Thread on Nottingham Forest sacking Nuno: the only sense that can be made is that Mr. Marinakis didn't like that Nuno had taken somewhat of a small stand against him in press conferences, and wanted to show he was boss. This squad fit Nuno tactically like a glove. (1)
