Consulting team: “I think the patient is depressed”
Me: “ok, does the patient say he feels depressed?”
CT: “…no”
Me: “…did you ask them?”
CT: “…I did not”
Hi I haven’t gotten on here in almost a year, but for the OGs who remember me getting on here after a rough breakup, facing the terrifying prospects on dating apps, and then stumbling across a great guy irl and going on a date with him…anyway we’re getting married next year
Y’all, being an intern has its own issues, but being a resident is still so much better than being a med student. Just now seeing how much of my med school experience was low key toxic
Gm everyone, had a dream that I was in the hospital and all the mean attendings I’ve worked with were there and refused to treat me but no med school is not traumatizing why do you ask
I’m not even upset bc of the program- I liked them and I think I can be happy there. I feel like garbage tho that nowhere higher on the list wanted me, even tho they sent love letters etc
Thrilled for my friends who got their #1, but without going into too much detail I matched my backup specialty at my #13 rank and it’s kinda rough. Would be great to hear encouraging stories from others who didn’t get what they expected initially😔
A clarification: I’m not trying to say I’m too good for this program or wanted somewhere more prestigious. It’s not close to my family and partner, and doesn’t have as many job opportunities for my partner, which are the main reasons it was lower on the list

@ScarecrowMD@Lindalistens_ It’s a solid program, I ranked lower not because of prestige but more because of location, job opportunities for my partner, other factors
