A clear upward trend in concurrent extreme temperature events in the Mediterranean Sea has been observed, with standalone events becoming less frequent. The interaction of MHWs and AHWs intensifies MHWs, increasing temperatures by 0.7–0.8°C compared to non-concurrent events

La situation géopolitique actuelle met en lumière les fractures profondes de nos sociétés modernes 🌍. En tant que climatologue, je me donne pour mission de faire avancer la science et de contribuer à la lutte contre le réchauffement climatique 🌡️, indépendamment des orientations politiques des gouvernements de ce monde.

Ce combat est difficile, car certains courants politiques et figures influentes sapent les bases mêmes de la pensée scientifique 🧪. Cependant, je suis convaincu que les électeurs, eux, sont tous préoccupés par les défis que le dérèglement climatique impose à notre société 🌧️. Même les gouvernements les plus climatosceptiques devront un jour reconnaître et répondre à ces enjeux.

C’est pour cela que je reste sur X : pour informer 📢, collaborer 🤝 et rappeler les dangers de revenir aux énergies fossiles ⛽.
