He hadn’t pitched in 3 weeks and had a 40p limit. Had a few bumps. Pitching coach came out and had a talk with him, he adjusted, and then struck out 3 straight.
Expecting a guy who was sidelined with knee tendinitis and was not cleared to pitch until a few days ago to come out and be perfect is silly.
Noah Schultz made his first rehab start in the series opener in Buffalo. Schultz had a bit of a command issue as can be expected after being sidelined, but after a mound visit he adjusted and struck out the last 3 he faced, 4 total. He gets a ND in the 9-5 #Knights loss.
Liam Paddack made the start for the #Dash on Tuesday in the series opener. Paddack goes his normal 4 innings and allows 1R on 4H and 2BB. He strikes out 4 on 45k/70p against a power heavy Hoppers lineup. Paddack does not factor in the decision of the 4-1 loss.
Caedmon Parker on the bump for the #Ballers in the series opener. Parker goes 4 & 2/3 innings allowing 5R/3ER on 6H and 1BB. He allows 3HR in the outing. Parker struck out 4 on 55k/87p. Parker takes the L in the 6-3 loss, he is 2-4.
Nolan Jones goes back 2 back with Michael Turner with a shot of his own to LCF. #Knights trail 6-5 on the first HR of Jones tenure with Charlotte, and 9th of the year.
