Radford is lucky to have @coachmcguire. One of the best people I’ve ever worked with. Down to earth, family man, and cares about everyone around him. I was pulling so hard for Radford last night, but HPU had a great 3rd quarter, that couldn’t be overcome.

Have to say…since I started following the HPU women more closely 6 or 7 years ago I’ve developed a ton of respect for Radford under Mike McGuire.

They’re always tough but they are high character, play the game the right way and execute a great style of basketball. It made for a fantastic championship game yesterday.

Also, Joi Williams had an absolute monster of a game. Watching her and Aaliyah go back and forth was great basketball. Much respect to the Highlanders.

On Wednesday, FR. Joey Raccuia, a player on the Radford Baseball team and the son of former head coach Joe Raccuia, passed away in a single-car crash.

On Friday, the Highlanders won via walk off and scored 2 runs in the 9th inning to do it

Just over 48 hours after Radford freshman Joey Raccuia's life was tragically cut short in a car accident, the Highlanders pulled off a ninth-inning comeback to beat Bryant with walk-off run.
