The murals covered in our project may put paint over concrete, and community over police, but they follow in a rich tradition of publicly sited art.

After a leg operation I have to walk three miles a day, a good excuse for mural hunting. I continued to Paddington Police Station for more concrete. This courtesy of tip off from Leigh Stanford.
After a whopping launch last Tuesday, For Walls with Tongues is now open until 30th May in our Project Space https://t.co/HHUUfnmkmI @UniofGreenwich@FWWTMurals
'For walls with tongues' is an oral history project looking at street murals in the UK from 1966-85. There's an exhibition at University of Greenwich's Stockwell St building until the end of June and it's well worth visiting. https://t.co/LjykCZT5Cc

Amazing exhibition by @FWWTMurals For Walls With Tongues at Greenwich university. So much research and a fantastic display of these often overlooked pieces of public art. #publicart#muralart#paint
Finding old photos after having the laptop back from the computer doctor. Think these are various Elephant subway photos. Great how I got the flash reflection in every time! 2008/9-ish, I think?
At 28 metres the #Grunwick40 mural is roughly the same length as 3.5 Routemaster buses, or 433 placards laid end to end, or 933 35mm film canisters, or 112 strands of spaghetti, or one-two-hundred-thousandth as long as The Great Wall of China. But it's not as long as this tweet.
This Saturday @MarxLibrary: Radio version of #Wearethelions acclaimed play by @townsendprod about the Grunwick strike. Followed by a panel with speakers from Grunwick 40 and the IWA. Book via link https://t.co/0btUFtEm8o
