What makes consistancy?

[Dan Cheung @wannabechamp]

Trading isn’t a salary.

A profitable Monday doesn’t guarantee a profitable Tuesday.

Accept the inconsistency.

Trading teaches you a lot about real life.

Revenge gets you nowhere.
Never act on emotion.
Learn how to lose.
Patience and timing count.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

@SJosephBurns Data.
Emotions lie. Strategies fail. But data doesn’t.

@fredtrades Bordom?

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

A strict journal forces you to justify the entry on paper before you click, killing the boredom impulse instantly.

[TradeRicch @tradericch]

Stop entering because you’re bored.

Boredom is not a trading signal.

@MoneyTradeEdge You can’t master what you refuse to measure.

@joseftrades If you risk 2% of $50k, you're actually risking 40% of a $2.5k buffer.

A pre-trade checklist doesn't limit your opportunities.

It protects your account from your emotions.

What's the last trade you talked yourself into? 👇

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

The most valuable trade you'll ever make is the one you skip.

Not because it would've lost.
Because it didn't meet your checklist.

Here's the test:

If you have to convince yourself to enter, you've already answered the question.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

Trading XAU/USD without a position size calculator isn't trading.

It's guessing with money you can't afford to lose.

Here's the math most traders ignore:

• 1 lot XAU/USD = $100 per $1 move
• A $10 move against you = $1,000 loss
• Two of those = your week erased

Silence builds discipline.
The journal builds the edge.
Perfect combination.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

@tradercams That’s the holy trinity of trading.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

Your brain forgets the pain of a bad trade by next week.
That's why you repeat the same mistakes.

A trading journal is your external memory. It shows you the patterns your emotions try to hide.

Without it, you're not learning. You're just hoping.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

Most traders don't fail because of bad strategies.

They fail because they never track what they actually do.

Trading without a journal isn't trading.

It's guessing with a chart open.

A journal does one thing:

It turns your behavior into data — and data into an edge.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

@tradericch That’s why a strict trading journal isn’t just for tracking P&L. It’s an emotional circuit breaker.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

The #1 benefit of a journal isn't the data.

It's friction.

Before you enter, you know you'll have to:

• Log the trade
• Categorize the setup
• Write down your reasoning

That friction alone kills most impulsive trades.
The journal isn't just a tracker.
It's a filter.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

And guessing usually means trading your worst hours — with your best effort.

[Forex Journal @FXMetricsPro]

Same strategy. Same trader. Different results.

The variable isn't you. It's the session.

• London → clean breakouts, real volatility
• NY overlap → fast moves, constant fake-outs
• Asia → range-bound, mean reversion only

If you don't track P&L by session, you're guessing
