We really need to help J.D. get elected. Not because he’s running against Steve King, but because he would be such an asset in Congress - especially as a voice for family farmers and Ag reform.
Help @JDScholten however you can! #DemCast#DemCastIA
@RepAngelaRomero What about the legislature holding #UAGO#accountable for the same type of #predator#enabling of a high profile child sex abuser, federal judge they “investigated” without interviewing him, gave him the recorded evidence (victim procured) so he could retire early with pension?
61 year old Stephen Wayne Cole is the third person to die at the Bexar County jail in 12 months after being booked on a trespassing charge. Cole was held at the Texas jail because he couldn’t afford a $40 bond. https://t.co/lvSnZwqFZN
This law wasn't necessary. The UAGO always had the power to override and prosecute sexual assault that was declined by the city or county. They didn't need a law to do it. Justice trickles from the top down. The UAGO is at the top, the counties and cities are below the state.
@RonanFarrow It looks like they removed the negative comments. I tagged the paper and the reporter on facebook and twitter. Maybe it had an effect. I encourage others to check out the comments allowed on these types of articles and take screen shots.
Since Paul Amann has been out of the UAGO, how many prosecutions of #rape, child sex abuse or #humantrafficking have resulted in a conviction? That is a question for the public to ask and reporters to pursue, if they really care about Utah victims.
The article states there are 260 lawyers working for the UAGO. I wonder how many of them spend their time fighting #GRAMA requests for #transparency about their preferential treatment of high profile child sex abusers, subpar investigations and treatments of #whistleblower's?
