Anime.com by @azuki is the future of anime. Key reasons to why
> free anime, no subs / ads: a bold vision starting with free livestreams with top IPs like Gintama and more.
> real time anime feed: fans can get the latest news from official sources and share it instantly.
more
> live streaming anime: creates a new category in the $88B global live streaming market. opens up collab and monetisation routes with top anime IPs worldwide.
> animee avatars: deepens UX and opens up multiple collab and monetisation routes like bitmoji (snapchat), wearables.
> digital blind boxes: opens up onchain collectibles and experiences for anime IPs and fans. Wearables, stickers and more. Invisible crypto rails (via acc abstraction).
> live chat in stream: deepens fan experiences and it allows digital stickers (NFTs) can be shared in chat too. (Like TG)
> high quality anime database: easily one the most well designed anime database that exists. way ahead of MAL and others.
> live translation: translates all EN content from Japanese on the feed, connecting two big markets in USA and Japan.
> future proof: anime.com is built on invisible crypto rails using account abstraction for sign ups. All happening on Animechain and powered by $anime.
> business flywheel: that can eventually bury piracy websites overshadowing giants like crunchyroll, netflix and disney.
free anime streaming → fans buy official digital blind box collectibles → revenue funds more streaming licenses + $anime buybacks → more shows → more fans → more collectibles → more revenue.
> key partnerships in place: aniplex (one of the biggest IP holders in anime), dentsu (one of the biggest anime productions)
> anime industry merit: Azuki has been working with legendary anime creators for years on the enter the garden anime series.
> own production studio: studio azuki joint venture with comisma and xenotoon, with westbrook studios (strategic partner).
> some features I’d love to see: anime fan ratings, social profiles, tradeable stickers / blind boxes marketplace, discord bot for customised real time news (from website)
> key for user onboarding: free anime and no ads legitimately, and beat piracy websites at their own game.
for context: piracy sites with ads do over 400M+ monthly views. Much higher than Disney, Crunchyroll etc. #1 challenge.
> key for IP owner onboarding: blind boxes monetisation, marketplace, giving IP owners a more hands on experience with how the IP gets distributed and consumed.
> anime.com key differentiators: grail domain, built onchain, live streaming and chat, real time anime news feed, custom animee avatars, onchain collectibles (blind boxes), well designed anime database.
tldr: anime.com is primed to be one of the most powerful consumer apps onchain, packed with industry first features.
ps: given the big challenges @animecom solves for the broader anime industry like piracy, user fragmentation and much more.
I won’t be surprised see the key players and stakeholders in the anime space to back the platform with max support.
Safe to say Azuki has absolutely killed it.
At one of my lowest points, I get a message from @JJ_Lin. He told me to keep building, keep creating, and keep sharing my vision with the world.
The Azuki culture and community we’re building together is truly once in a lifetime.
Dope sh*t only. ⛩️

Holy shit, we just announced our own anime studio!
Sometimes you meet people who see the future the same way you do. That’s why we teamed up with our friends at Comisma and Xenotoon to launch this joint venture.
I met Sato-san, CEO of Comisma, while working together on the Azuki anthology series. In addition to producing anime, he built one of Japan’s top manga apps and has always believed in the power of the individual creator.
Through working with the legendary Gensho Yasuda on the Mizuki anime shorts, I met Kawase-san, CEO of Xenotoon. Their studio runs the largest indie anime network. It's a reminder to me of just how much talent there is in the world.
Anime 2.0 has always been my vision: putting the anime industry into the hands of the fans and creators who built it.
With Studio Azuki, we’ll have the creative freedom to rethink how anime is funded, made, and shared with the world.
Today is a big creative win for Web3. And another step toward Anime 2.0.
This is absolutely huge from @Azuki ‼️
Tatsuyuki Tanaka aka Cannabis will be directing Episode 3 of Azuki’s Enter the Garden anime.

Despite all the noise in the space, I feel a steady confidence working with my team every day.
Building out the Azuki brand, pushing product innovation with anime.com, all while moving toward a clear vision for Anime 2.0.
Azuki
Every year since '22 they've called Azuki going to 0.
They'll say it next year. And the next.
When they finally stop is when we actually hit 0. But they never will 😂
