@PavloGera@RadioGenoa I live in HU and support Orbán’s firm immigration policy and cautious stance on Ukraine aid. Péter Magyar largely shares these positions, keeping the border fence and rejecting migrant quotas, while adding a strong focus on anti-corruption and better governance, closer to Cz/PL
@MikeBenzCyber@elonmusk The 27 super milestones were set years ago, they are not new.
Guys, fact-check the post with grok. Most points are misleading or inaccurate, to say the least
@szilagyipal 100%. However, I don’t believe Orbán lost coz of these Soviet-style policies. In fact most people supported them and even demanded more. These policies are one of the main reasons why HU is becoming one of the poorest countries in the EU. People prefer easier short-term solutions
Péter Magyar is not the anti-Orbán. He is running on a platform that is Orbán without the corruption.
As Orban, Magyar opposes the EU migration pact. He voted against the loan to Ukraine. He wants strong borders and has no plans to reverse Hungary’s energy ties with Russia before 2035. On every substantive question that defines the European left-right divide, Magyar sits exactly where Orbán sits.
What he promises to change is governance, not ideology. Anti-corruption reforms, rule of law, meritocratic appointments, unlocking frozen EU funds. A voter who backed Orbán for border security and national sovereignty can vote for Magyar without abandoning a single conviction. The only thing that voter has to abandon is tolerance for theft.
Orbán did not lose the argument. He lost the trust.

@martinvars Finally, someone who can put it correctly. I have lived in Hu for more than 15 years and can confirm. Most people abroad/x have no clue and only repeat Orbán’s rhetoric.
The true is this is not a change in ideology but governance. Orbán didn’t lose the argument, but the trust.

@_The_Prophet__ That’s why quarantine has existed for millennia. Even Jesus withdrew into the desert for forty days and confronted the "devil", because stepping away from toxic relationships is never easy but leads to deep healing and transformation.
@EvaVlaar@PM_ViktorOrban Orbán has done great job opposing to EU migration policy and resisted supporting Ukraine. But abroad he’s often idealized. Corruption in his party & family is rampant, their connected companies enrich themselves through public funds and loans, while quality of life has declined.
