@sonofellie@RyanDBledsoe “Divine” feminine in Time. But again, it’s theological speculation but has historically always existed in certain thought in the Church.
@sonofellie@RyanDBledsoe foreshadows and keeps Christs promise of our own resurrection and theosis and if we consider that this perfected creation was in the mind of God since eternity, that’s where this divine feminine concept is coming from because Mary plays the role as the-
@sonofellie@RyanDBledsoe for a creature and a microcosm for what creation as a whole will look like once it’s fully deified. So she is so transparently united with the Holy Spirit some think when the Spirit manifests it manifests as Mary in appearance due to this
@sonofellie@RyanDBledsoe They are fully human yet both existed in the mind of God in eternity. Christ is Divine, Mary is not by nature but when we say she is “full of grace” we’re saying she fully partakes in the divine nature by participation. She is what the final product of deification looks like-
@AndrewChis56024@KatjaThePapist It is absolutely true lol this is ridiculous. The overwhelming vast majority believed it to be literal. To argue against this means you’re deliberately choosing to ignore facts therefore you don’t actually care about the truth.
@AndrewChis56024@KatjaThePapist The early Christians and the church fathers are basically unanimous on this and anytime they used the word symbol or sign it was always in the realist sense. Even Protestant scholars admit this. For your view to be correct you have to argue all the church fathers are wrong.
@AndrewChis56024@KatjaThePapist So…. Jesus tricked them? Seems like you’re reading that interpretation into the text. They left because they knew exactly what he was saying. When Christ speaks in parables and is misunderstood he elaborates later in the text. This case he doubles down as his clarification.
@ThaddeusQtip2@Gnosisinformant Low tier response that didn’t refute my point at all. Rome already had complete control they didn’t need a new religion to do so.
@ThaddeusQtip2@Gnosisinformant If it’s so stupid then why did it beat out all other ideas and transformed human civilization to the degree that it has? Unless the majority of western civilization was built up by stupid people
@Gnosisinformant What point is even trying to be made here? Are we considering on why Clement mentions this story at all? The gnostics having a similar story doesn’t mean anything at all I’m a bit confused
