Let me introduce you to a beautiful getaway spot called Kraal Luxury Lodges which is located between Potchefstroom and Parys. This is undoubtedly one of the most luxurious African Safari lodges in this area and only 90min drive from the south/west of Johannesburg. I first visited this hidden gem when it had only been open for three months and I just knew the place was going to blow up in popularity. Let me explain why.

There are only 5 villas on the property, which means a maximum of 10 people will be on the property at anytime (excluding staff). Each villa boasts floor-to-ceiling glass walls offering panoramic views of the breathtaking scenery, and features an open-plan design with modern finishes and furnishings.

Each villa is also luxuriously furnished with a king-size bed and has an in-room bath and an en-suite bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet and double vanity, with an outside shower for those summer months.

Guests have access to a wooden deck with amazing views of the surrounding game reserve. Each villa has its own private swimming pool. Two of the villas also have jacuzzis. Sitting in the jacuzzi while watching the most glorious sunset was an absolute highlight.

Ultimately, Kraal Luxury Lodge is the ideal location for a special occasions like a honeymoon, anniversary getaway, or even small and intimate wedding. It's not cheap but it's also not ridiculously expensive for what you get. The price includes all your meals too. I wish I could share more than four images to show you how good the food was too.
