Simple. Jax doesn’t consider Kinger abstracting even a possibility. If the merch ads are canon and in character then we know Jax at least somewhat likes Kinger (Jax putting mashed potatoes on Kinger) but he just doesn’t see Kinger abstracting as possible due to his condition.

Here’s my theory on the doors in Jax’s mind. There 2 locked doors. The first is locked because it’s what Jax would do if Pomni abstracted. The second in break room is Jax’s femininity (Goose confirmed Jax is trans-fem). This is all obvious, but why doesn’t Kinger have a door? 1/2

@JudeGameDev @garc33326 @Channy814 It’s specifically Pomni that bugs me. Jax walked up to her, tried to speak, but hesitated. Pomni, despite knowing exactly how bad Jax was doing didn’t reach out. Yes all of them were emotionally exhausted, but it does feel out of Pomni’s character to have not even said a word.

@garc33326 @Channy814 It would be outside of Jax’s character, but more within Pomni’s. Pomni not reaching out suddenly leading to Jax abstracting feels incredibly out of character. Hell, even Zooble showed some care in episode 8, but suddenly no one cares at all and they leave Jax to abstract.
