Not really important but it cracks me up that the administrators at Nebraska and Georgia have both said something like "check your schedules" and "let us know" like they can't just check the schedules and figure it out themselves.
Athletic officials from Nebraska and Georgia sent department-wide memos today instructing their coaches and sport deputies not to schedule Texas Tech. If games are already scheduled, the schools may work to cancel the matchups.
Here's Georgia's message:
A dozen radio voices of Big Ten football and men’s basketball teams got together in Minnesota last week. Some legends in the business. I spent time with them over 2 days to learn about their camaraderie and hear their stories. My column ….
I watched Game 2 with some Timberwolves die-hards. There was no bitterness. No wallowing. Just unbridled happiness for one of their own: Karl-Anthony Towns.

Karl-Anthony Towns long-term future with the Knicks is uncertain even if they win the NBA Finals, per @sam_amick
“If the Knicks do, in fact, tie the bow on this NBA Finals package, there will still be a discussion to be had with Towns about securing his services for the long-term. He has one guaranteed season left on his current deal, with a player option worth $61 million for the 2027-28 campaign, and is eligible for a massive extension (four years and a combined $272 million). The reality of today’s NBA means there are second-apron concerns for the Knicks to take into consideration, and a desire to be prudent enough with the payroll so as not to compromise roster depth. But the tone of those talks, given everything Towns has done here, should be far more flattering toward him this time around. He deserves immense credit for that much.”

In a largely unprecedented financial concession to give roster flexibility to a contender, New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson has agreed on a four-year, $156.5 million extension, his agent Sam Rose of CAA tells ESPN --- $113M less guaranteed than he’s eligible to receive in one year.
“He was criticized in Minnesota. He was criticized in New York. But the MVP of the Finals is gonna be Karl-Anthony Towns. He played two of the best games I’ve ever seen a big man play. That man earned his flowers.”
Charles Barkley with the highest praise for the Knicks center.
