Mayor Mamdani, calling this ‘self-determination’ while Venezuela crumbles under socialist/communist rule is a blatant lie. Chávez and Maduro’s policies of seizing industries, price controls and currency manipulation turned the richest country in Latin America into a humanitarian disaster with millions fleeing poverty, starvation, and repression.
Your socialist ideas are the same utopian fantasy that has failed everywhere it’s been tried: Cuba, North Korea, the USSR, and now Venezuela. They don’t liberate people, they enrich elites and trap everyone else. Stop romanticizing failed experiments!
