@Dave19Brown83 @kristanovva @NintendoAmerica Nintendo fully owns the rights to Donkey Kong 64 and the entire Donkey Kong franchise. Rare (the developer of the game) having only created it for Nintendo. Despite Rare's subsequent acquisition by Microsoft, Nintendo retained full ownership of the characters and properties.
