@zedakay40@Mutant_Menace And so do a great many people, and although I cannot fathom why, I don’t begrudge them their enjoyment, I only begrudge the filmmakers for making a movie I fundamentally could not enjoy
@DonVincenzo88@Mutant_Menace Not a lie. Just a film that tonally clashes harder with its predecessors than Thor Ragnarok did with its predecessors. Not a film I’d like to ever sit through again, which breaks my heart because I love the first two so much. They deserved a better conclusion.
@Acid__Gat@Mutant_Menace No sir. Genuinely think it’s a horrible film (not bad, but horrible). Tonally clashes so hard with the first two and is generally unpleasant to sit through
@CrestedThunder Maybe in the sequels. In the movie he sort of lurched forward when he moved, like he wasn’t sure how to move and each step caused great discomfort if not pain. In the future I could see him moving more naturally like this.
I'm not calling anyone wrong but I genuinely don't understand the hate this movie got, especially on a rewatch
Didn't find the humans annoying, compelling story, more monsters, better fights, breathtaking visuals, and the amazing score by Bear McCreary
@DanitsiaTLP @BromTitus @SheevTalks Ah yes, and we all remember that famous scene where Sabine has a midichlorian count test done to confirm that she doesn’t have enough.
@SpiderMumHex Bro that’s just Spider Man. Look at the MCU trilogy. As soon as NWH came out, FFH was garbage. As soon as Across the Spider Verse came out, NWH was garbage. They’re the most capricious fandom out there
@Conchobar2003@venomynora Absolutely wild to say that Rebels, which gave Saw most of his characterization and made him more than just a paranoid wheezer in a cave, simplified him. His speech to Mon Mothma was practically a prototype for the dialogue and messages in Andor.
@BadWolfArchives Great episode, even if the “bigeneration” was handled a little poorly imo. The Toymaker is an all-time great villain, and I wish this had been a two-parter so he and the eponymous Giggle plague had more time to shine
@HandsAndStars He was fighting a continuous, never-ending war for 700 years. Literally no part of that situation was him facing his trauma or living a peaceful life. He was eternally under siege, not enjoying peace and domesticity
I feel that way too many people get far too cynical & negative about this franchise and forget the very simple lessons that it's meant to teach & stand for throughout; lessons that are profoundly present in every single one of the films.
Just focus on what you enjoy.

@STAI2GAZER Here’s how I’ve always thought about Death Star II, and felt the movie subtly sets it up:
It’s a Paper Tiger. It’s big (probably built from the frame of a Death Star I prototype or other space station) but was never planned to be “completed”. It was all a trap.
