Collateral is only useful when it still works when things go wrong.

Using BTC as collateral isn't just about whether Bitcoin has value. It’s about whether that collateral can still be relied on when the borrower doesn’t repay.

That’s where native BTC changes the equation.

The Bitcoin stays Bitcoin, while the rules around the loan can still work when they need to.

That’s bigger than simply putting a value on BTC.

Study @Arch

[OX_gabito @OX_gabito]

If you understand the difference between 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐍𝐞𝐭𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐤 and 𝐀𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞, the rest of the Arch thesis becomes much easier to understand.

They are connected, but they are not the same thing.

Arch Network is the infrastructure. It is the Bitcoin-native chain that provides the clearing infrastructure for Bitcoin credit.
Its role includes:

1. keeping Bitcoin collateral as native Bitcoin UTXOs under predefined spending conditions
2. authorizing movement of that collateral through threshold cryptography
3. sequencing and prioritizing transactions, including those carrying clearing risk
4. settling the resulting transactions back to Bitcoin

Arch Prime is the business built on that infrastructure. Its role includes:

1. extending credit against Bitcoin collateral
2. underwriting the counterparties receiving that credit
3. setting account and risk parameters
5. determining which strategies clients can deploy into
6. setting the rules and process for product-level closeout
7. earning a spread on the financing flow it facilitates

Arch Network → provides the clearing infrastructure.
Arch Prime → uses that infrastructure to provide prime-brokerage functions around Bitcoin.

The difference becomes especially clear when you look at closeout.

@Arch_Prime determines the closeout decision and ordering, while @Arch handles the authorization and settlement of the resulting Bitcoin transaction.

Once you understand that division, the rest of the Arch ecosystem becomes much easier to follow.

Bitcoin already holds enormous economic value, but value sitting in an asset is different from capital that can move through a financial system.

A functioning capital market needs more than an asset. It needs ways to connect that asset to credit, liquidity, risk management, and financial strategies.

That is the missing layer around Bitcoin.

The opportunity isn’t simply to create more products for Bitcoin. It is to make the capital represented by Bitcoin more usable within a financial system, without requiring that capital to lose its connection to the underlying asset.

That’s why the first unlock I’d want to see is capital mobility: Bitcoin becoming capital that can actually move through financial markets, rather than simply an asset sitting at the edge of them.

Curious to hear what others would put first.👇

never underestimate the speed at which your life can change.

all it takes it 3-6 months of intense focus to forever change the trajectory of your life. set a goal that seems unreasonable and slightly terrifying, get plenty of sleep, soak in the sun, educate yourself as much as possible, give yourself a creative output, chase mastery, and enjoy yourself. find work that feels like play and hobbies that fulfill you.
