A ceasefire doesn't mean the genocide has ended, but rather that its pace has slowed. The Zionist entity is inherently genocidal & its incumbent upon those of us in solidarity to make that understood, sustain pressure & do all that we can to materially support those in Gaza.
Our people deserve rest. Let them count their dead and rebuild their lives.
But they must not be abandoned. See the ceasefire through, and work until we cease apartheid and occupation too.
Praying for scenes of joy in Gaza, and for the endurance of those scenes beyond.
After 15 months of genocide in Gaza, a ceasefire has been declared โ but the US, UK & others must be held accountable for arming these atrocities.
Weโll keep speaking out until the siege lifts, aid flows, schools & hospitals are rebuilt, the Occupation ends & Palestine is free.
Breonna loved Christmas. She would be so excited preparing decorations and getting to spend time with her loved ones. She should still be here with them.
Her life mattered.
Never stop saying her name:
Breonna Taylor.
1/People are often shocked when activists like Nikki Giovanni marry non-Black people. Iโm not. Many Black activists who deeply love Black people and fight against anti-Blackness often make this choice. To some, this seems contradictory, but it reveals deeper layers of survival and emotional safety that are rarely discussed. Let me explain MY perspective on this dynamic and why the personal choices of activists often reflect the realities of their lived experiences.
Jordan Neely is proof that if you're black and have mental health issues you get very little sympathy from the majority after being murdered but if you're a white mass shooter suddenly that same majority wants to talk about mental health.
White supremacy is still deeply ingrained here.
