Today Branwell was initiated as a mason in the lodge of the 3 Graces. Quickly rose through the ranks to master mason & their influence even made it into Jane Eyre where Charlotte includes nods & winks through names & themes she uses. All the images were taken in the lodge.
Valentine's hearts & pendants made from the wood of the sycamore tree felled next to the Brontë parsonage, Haworth & treated with homemade beeswax polish from local hives. Available in my Etsy shop in time for the 14th 🥰 https://t.co/RbCsMBTSXN
Process of transforming raw beeswax into polish & wood treatments. ive used different ratios of of raw beeswax & oils to reinforce, preserve & polish, depending on the porosity of the wood, that will sink into the grain & create a firmer material to carve- & they smell of honey !
Morning :-)
Top Withens, Wuthering Heights. From this years project looking at the cross quarter days throughout the year. Imbolc - The return of the fire.
I'm also liking the idea of the year following the chakras-so this would be Muladhara, the deep red primal root.
Ive added another couple of carvings to my Etsy shop. A new Wuthering heart with some really lovely spalting, a chunky page holder opener & a set of 3 hearts. All made from the the sycamore tree that was felled at the Bronte parsonage & church in 2018.

Cuckoo stone, Haworth moor
“It’s a cuckoo’s, sir – I know all about it;" Nelly on Heathcliff
Greeks believed Zeus turned into a cuckoo to have inappropriate relations with his sister.

Sacred geometry gives symbolic meanings to particular geometric shapes & mathematical proportions. Originally ascribed to Gods design, it is now seen as fundamental to the nature of the universe.
If you'd like something a bit special, trellis, gate etc, please give me a shout.
If you pre-ordered a heart - they are on their way, thankyou for your patience while i found time to carve them in between homeschooling adventures :-)
All unique as i used traditional methods of splitting the wood with wedges to keeps all the little twists & natural shapes.
Lucky enough to be homeschooling again (i could really do this long term !) so in the mean time concentrating on smaller projects that i can complete on a weekend & am sharing a few ideas to fancy up your outdoor spaces.

There's no such thing as nothing, everything is potential and the only things that exist are coherent relationships.
There, ive said it.
So who wants a fractal gate, a fibonacci fence or a platonic planter that has grown from geometry rather than just happens to be geometric ?
