IPSE has opened up opportunities for students with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) across the state Georgia. These programs are offering a path to careers for students w/disabilities that they would not have otherwise. #SupportIPSE @GAVocRehab @georgiacouncil
Students I/DD have historically been underserved and unemployed or under employed. IPSE programs offer students an opportunity to learn more than hard skills needed for a job, but also to learn skills that will help them keep a job and enter a career #SupportIPSE @GAVocRehab
Nationally, 40% of students who went to an #InclusivePSE TPSID program had a paid job within 90 days of graduation in 2014-15 vs. the 17% of adults with IDD who did not attend IPSE programs! #SupportIPSE @GAVocRehab! @georgiacouncil @thearcga@TheArcUS @AndyAUCD @mccrenshaw
#SupportIPSE @GAVocRehab Inclusive postsecondary education provides a "liberal arts" education for students with IDD. There are limits to "technical only" education https://t.co/fqjnZ0AP0Y via @chronicle@thinkcollegeICI @AndyAUCD @mccrenshaw @georgiacouncil @thearcga
