Another busy day at State Convention. Farm Business Management competed and placed in the top ten. This earned them the right to advanced to the final round. Next up Quiz Bowl competed. Lastly, Aislinn Davis and Bailey Stewart received their State Degrees. Congratulations Ladies!
Today was a busy day for us at the 98th TN FFA State Convention.
We walked the Blue Carpet twice. Once for Superior Chapter Award and then for Gold in PLOW (Passing Literacy OnWord).
The Agronomy Team Competed.
We also enjoyed a chapter meal.

Congratulations to Aislinn Davis and Cassie Bryant for placing so well at the Individual Public Speaking Contest. Aislinn competed to Prepared Public Speaking were she placed 1st in the District earning advancement to Northern Sectionals. Cassie placed 3rd in the District.
On the last day of school before Christmas Break we delivered Christmas Cards that were made by our chapter members to a local nursing home. After delivering the cards we stayed to play pictionary. The residents as well as our leadership team enjoyed every minute of it.
This week the Meats Evaluation Team competed in the State FFA Competition. They were a brand new team who put in many hours of practice. Their hard work did not go unnoticed. Job well done girls!
This week was Tennessee Agriculture Literacy Week when FFA members across the state read to elementary students. We are very fortunate to be able read to four different schools to share the importance agriculture plays in our society.
✨Horse Evaluation CDE ✨
So proud of our Horse Evaluation Team! 🐴 They competed yesterday and earned 22nd out of 79 teams statewide. Their hard work and dedication truly showed - great job team!
Last week the Floriculture Team competed in the Regional Contest. Their hard work earned them 8th place in region. Congratulations to Aislinn Davis, Victoria Kennedy, Bailey Stewart, and Mallory Moore.
On Monday, members from our chapter went to the @TNStateFair ! We had 6 members compete in 4 contest. We also walked around and explored other areas at the fair!

As we start the new year, we would like to welcome Mrs. Sutton to the Ag Dept. She comes to us with a wealth knowledge in the horticulture field. She will be teaching Agriscience, Landscaping, Greenhouse Management, Plant Science, and hopefully Floral Design in the future.
Yesterday, we had the pleasure of attending Union Elementary’s Career Day to talk with students about the many exciting careers in Agriculture. As you can see, Bailey and Kailey enjoyed every minute of it!
