We always have so much fun with our reading buddies! Students had a great time teaching their buddies in KF6 how to form letters and encouraging them to share their fantastic ideas. It was a teamwork-filled experience!
Grade 5/6-1 participated in making a gingerbread person with their buddies from KF-6, fostering leadership skills. Students practiced active listening, encouraged their buddies to share ideas, and set positive examples during this collaborative experience.
Grade 6-2 and 5/6-1 collaborated in an activity, crafting a web to illustrate how interconnections among organisms support the coexistence of diverse plants and animals. This highlighted the dependence different species have on one another.
We've observed a considerable amount of litter in our school yard and the nearby park, prompting discussions on the significance of avoiding littering and its impact on our community and environment. Class 6-2 and 5/6 dedicated a period to clean up.π
Students enthusiastically practice making inferences using real-life photos on a weekly basis, improving their ability to examine closely the intricate details within the images and substantiate their ideas with meaningful evidence. Photo Reveal is coming up this week!

At the start of the year, we read "Ishi," Japanese for "rock," which we use when we practice mindfulness. This morning, students expressed their feelings and got creative. Ask your child about their rock's name and why they chose it.
This week, we began one of our mornings with a brisk walk. It nurtures our mental well-being and affords us with the chance to embrace fresh air and gather our thoughts for the day ahead.
This week, we kicked off our read-aloud, "A Rover's Story." We got to know the book's characters and worked on defining character traits for the ones we've encountered in the story so far.
