A new 2D lanthanide(III) metal-organic framework.
Congratulations to @DarraghMcHugh14 for his excellent work and first-author publication 👏
A big thank you to all collaborators for making this work possible.

It’s a wrap! @DarraghMcHugh14 and @FDimakopoulou represented @GalPorMat at @Euromof2023 We hope you didn’t miss their posters on lanthanide MOFs and 1D coordination polymers. Until the next one.
On the front cover of this week's issue is work from @CP_MOFs, Yiannis Sanakis, Anastasios Tasiopoulos & co on heterometallic clusters based on an uncommon asymmetric “V-shaped” structural core👇👀

Yesterday was a day well spent at the Inorganic Ireland Symposium. Our group was represented by @DarraghMcHugh14 (poster), Aileen (poster), and @FDimakopoulou (oral presentation).
Dr Ahmed passed his PhD viva with flying colours today! @AAhmed954 worked on an @SSPCentre -funded project on the development of MOFs with drug delivery properties. Onwards and upwards always! @scienceirel @sbcsgalway
There is still time to register for the symposium on magnetic nanoparticles, which will be held on Friday, 28th April. The event will feature a lecture by Prof. Thanh Nguyen, as part of her RSC Award Lecture Tour. Talks will also be delivered by Dr Tong @Chem_light and Dr Mai.
A New Strategy in the Development of Mitochondrial-Targeting Chemotherapeutics. Pleased to have contributed to this exciting research project by an excellent team from #UniversityofIoannina

Our 5th Year Chemistry students enjoyed a trip to @uniofgalway today where they learned about a range of different instrumentation and techniques utilised in both Organic and Inorganic Chemistry. Thanks to Dr. Meally and Ms. Dunne for facilitating a great trip.
Excited to see this work published in @DaltonTrans . Mixed-metal Fe/Ln complexes with uncommon topology. Delighted to have contributed to this work.
