The children in the Butterfly Room have been investigating under the sea & volcanoes! 🐠 🌋 There have been lots of fun learning experiences happening throughout the centre 🌊 We have also started transition visits for our pre-schoolers to explore @GalstonPS ☺️

This week the Rainbow Room have been having lots of fun! We celebrated Shrove Tuesday by making yummy pancakes 🥞 We have been developing our gross motor skills outdoors, climbing & balancing on our new crates! The children have also been learning how to take care of babies 👶

The children have been making the most of outdoors whatever the weather this month! 🌧 ☀️ They have been mark making, splashing in muddy puddles and creating amazing pirate ships from resources and loose parts outdoors 🏴‍☠️

In Galston ECC we have been celebrating Chinese New Year! 🇨🇳 Throughout both playrooms we have been making our very own dragons using clay, paper and junk modelling 🐉 All rooms have also been adventurous and tried brand new foods & had fun learning about a different culture 🍜🍚

The Butterfly Room had a lovely time celebrating Burns Day this week too! 🥳 The children tried some new Scottish foods, practised some highland dancing and listened to some bagpipes! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The Rainbow Room have been celebrating Robert Burns today and all things Scottish! 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿 We have created our own tartan in the arts area and tried new and different food whilst having a Burns supper! ☺️🌈

On woodland Wednesday today we continued to explore our new wooded area! We were really interested in building our own structures. So we planned them out on paper before using natural materials to construct our dens. 🪵🌳🍁🍂

In the Butterfly Room we have been experimenting with some alien slime! 👽 We’ve been spending loads of time outdoors, participating in risky play and setup a vets in our role play area! 🐶 The children have also been doing a spot of decorating 🎨
