One consideration for the next time is that bats have very short tails compared to how GRRM described dragons as mostly neck and tail, so I'll have to think about whether the membrane between the leg and tail goes all the way to near the end or is closer to where the pelvis is

Been quietly into ASOIAF for a while now, and decided to try and draw a basic landed dragon using the various quotes from both GRRMs books and the man himself at different points in time. Focused particularly on a very large wingspan, being bat-like, but also serpentine

Probably will do more, was pretty interesting learning about how Vampire bats, who are more adept at walking than most other species, fold the digits of their longer wing fingers against each other so they don't stick out when running or tear a wing from tension

The reason they look odd is partly cus of my own attempts not always going right, but also cus i am wanting to draw a space marine so am wanting to make their heads look slightly inhuman to match how theyre most often described as

That one viral tweet of the artist on reddit attempting a really difficult head angle motivated me to draw some, so heres some head attempts mostly using the Loomis method. Will continue practicing hopefully often until i feel more confident in different angles
