The halving in November marks a new era for CKB💥

The base issuance rate will halve from 1,917,808 to 958,904 CKB per epoch, reducing the real inflation rate from 7.92% to around 3.77%.

But beyond that, we're gearing up a soft fork and a hard fork, which respectively will bring lights clients to Mainnet and introduce powerful VM features which take CKB to the next level! 📈

What Proof-of-Work critics don't get 🤔 is that mining is an incredibly competitive industry with extremely thin margins 📉

The only way to survive as a #miner ⛏️ is to tap into ever-cheaper energy sources. These are either stranded (otherwise wasted) energy sources like flaring or renewables 🌞

The point is, nobody nowhere is deprived of electricity ⚡ because of miners, while we all benefit from the security 🔐 they provide to decentralized and permissionless financial networks
