In August 1943 he was deported to #Auschwitz together with his wife Leentje and their son Marcus. None of them survived.

On this day in 1876, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 22 Jan 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt and on the 9 May to the Sobibor extermination camp where she was most probably murdered on arrival. Her name was Josefina Reinischová

He was deported from the Będzin ghetto to #Auschwitz in the summer of 1942 or 1943. He was murdered in a gas chamber in Auschwitz II-Birkenau.

On this day in 1894, a Czech Jewish woman was born. On the 27 Jul 1942 she was deported to Theresienstadt and on the 6 Sep 1943 to Auschwitz where she perished. Her name was Bedřiška Karásková

On this day in 1930, a German Jewish girl was born. Living in Czechoslovakia, on the 16 Oct 1941 she was deported to the Łódź Ghetto with her parents. She perished on the 29 Jul 1944. Her name was Catherine Ruth Anstreicher

A long-running BBC presenter of science programmes and regular contributor to several shows, yet no where to be seen on the state broadcaster after stating this fact:
