The Select Committee on COGTA is today conducting an oversight visit to Ditsobotla Local Municipality to assess the impact of the invocation of Section 139(7) of the Constitution by the national government.

The committee began its visit at a stalled housing project in Lichtenberg, where serious concerns were raised. Community members indicated that information previously reported by the Provincial Government regarding bulk infrastructure does not reflect the reality on the ground.
