A severe thermal failure occurred on the premium MSI GeForce RTX 5090 Vanguard graphics card due to a completely melted sixteen pin power connector. The high performance desktop system was powered by an FSP Hydro GT Pro unit using direct factory cables without adapters.

During regular operation, high temperatures deformed the terminal housing, fusing the plastic connector directly onto the printed circuit board. Technicians attribute the issue to uneven current distribution across individual contacts under continuous electrical loads exceeding 600 W.

Hardware owners are strongly advised to ensure the connector latch is fully locked and avoid tight cable bends near the graphics card socket to prevent overheating.

An experimental NVIDIA DLSS 5 Neural Rendering demonstration has appeared for Uncharted 2: Among Thieves. Enthusiasts reportedly used an unofficial PC version and compared native 4K visuals with Cinematic 1 Pass and 2 Pass processing. The test system featured a GeForce RTX 5090 and Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

Neural processing noticeably changes Nathan Drake and other characters, adding detail to skin, hair and clothing. The effect is stronger with 2 Pass, although reconstruction may also alter the original character designs and scene lighting.

This is not an official Sony or Naughty Dog patch. The demonstration provides no verified frame rate, latency or motion stability results. It illustrates the visual potential of the technology but does not prove universal compatibility with older games or that integration requires no software changes.

Testing DLSS 5 in Metro Exodus Enhanced Edition revealed noticeable improvements in overall image clarity and texture sharpness. The updated neural network successfully cleans ray tracing denoising noise, removes shimmering foliage, and eliminates stair stepping on fine geometry across all locations.

However, the visual refinement comes at the cost of severe processing overhead. Across every interior and open area, the base frame rate is practically cut in half. The actual performance penalty ranges between 44% and 59%, keeping the game constantly below the 60 FPS target at 1440p resolution even when using performance presets.

Because the title lacks integrated frame generation, external driver-level frame generation tools remain mandatory to achieve acceptable gameplay fluidity.

An enthusiast installed both the flagship GeForce RTX 5090 Founders Edition and the professional workstation card RTX PRO 6000 into a single PC build to clearly demonstrate their physical dimensions side by side.

The photos revealed that both high end graphics cards share a very similar footprint. However, the professional board features a slimmer dual slot design, whereas the consumer flagship relies on a larger heatsink built for intensive gaming.

Hands on thermal tests in modern gaming scenarios confirmed that the GeForce RTX 5090 runs 10–15°C cooler than the enterprise model due to its dedicated cooling solution.

Reports have emerged regarding a melted 12VHPWR power connector on a Gigabyte RTX 5090 Aorus Master graphics card. The failure occurred in a customer system after approximately six months of regular daily operation without any prior issues.

Thermal inspection revealed that an EZDIY 180-degree power adapter bore the brunt of the heat damage, with several pins severely burnt and fused together. The connector on the card PCB was also damaged, while the custom modular cable remained intact.

Technicians note that using intermediate angled adapters with high-draw hardware increases contact resistance, which often leads to critical overheating and voided warranty claims.

Sony has officially rolled out system update 14.20 for the PlayStation 5 console to address emerging security concerns.

This unexpected patch targets a critical kernel vulnerability previously identified in version 14.10, which potentially allowed developers to execute a full system jailbreak. Notably, that earlier firmware was widely expected to serve as the baseline requirement for running GTA 6, meaning Rockstar Games will now almost certainly require version 14.20 for initial launch verification.

While company engineers attempted to secure the operating system, community members are currently testing whether the exploit was completely eliminated.
