I’m so excited to announce today that my first, first author empirical paper was published in Exceptional Children answering a question I’ve been thinking about for 15+ years! https://t.co/wP7clsY6bT
So excited this paper is finally out! And if you missed me talking about this topic for hours on end over the last several years at @MAIER_UMaine you can read this paper in half the time!

Addressing Barriers to Evidence-Based Practice: Using Evidence-Based Decision Making and High-Leverage Practices to Meet Student Needs - Gretchen Scheibel, 2023 @CECMembership @casecec https://t.co/LBboa28Rfa
Yesterday I successfully defended my dissertation!
It was an incredible day, and so much fun! I couldn’t have done it without the support of advisor #katiezimmerman and my amazing mentor @HowardPWills! Hooray!
Finally, because no one has time to read a 15 page journal article 😅... we took all this stuff and turned it into a handy infographic for teachers to use when considering I-Connect for kiddos in their classroom! 🧑🏫

Teachers are often told to "use the research" when selecting an intervention. 🤓 Their (and my) next question is usually: Yes, but how? 🤯 Check out our new paper where we "used the research" to create practical guidance to use @iConnect_App_! https://t.co/ewKGzYlLDT
However! We also noticed many students didn't receive individualized interventions, and still did great! We think that is because there might be a "standard" intervention package that works pretty good for most students, but we don't have enough data to say for sure. Stay tuned!
