Never embarrass your spouse in front of other people and then expect everything to be normal when you get home.

Don't mock your husband's failures in front of your friends. Don't expose your wife's private struggles to your family. Don't make jokes about your spouse's weaknesses just because everyone is laughing. The person you married should feel safest with you, not feel like they need to protect themselves from you.

There are things you can forgive privately that become much harder to forgive when your spouse deliberately humiliates you in front of an audience.

Your spouse is not your punching bag and your marriage is not a comedy show. Protect their dignity, especially when you're angry.

After the revolt of 1857, the British had learnt one lesson. An India that could unite was dangerous for British Empire. As Mithi Mukherjee argues, they adopted a range of policies that identified, classified and deepened existing social divisions. Caste was one of those faultlines, and the colonial census became one of the important instruments through which it was studied, classified and eventually hardened into administrative categories.

And then came the census.

At first glance census looks innocent. You count people. How many Hindus, how many Muslims, how many men, how many women, how many people belonging to this caste or that caste.

But the colonial authorities did not content themselves with merely counting castes.

They started classifying them. And then they started ranking them.

Under Herbert Risley, particularly in the 1901 Census, different jatis were ranked according to what the British understood to be their social precedence. They were also increasingly fitted into the larger varna framework.

Now think what this meant.

Before this, a jati could have one status in one region and another status somewhere else. Its position could be disputed. It could depend upon local customs, local power, occupation, wealth, relations with other communities and a hundred other things.

Now suddenly the government was entering it into a register. The government was giving it a name. The government was giving it a category. And the government was trying to give it a rank.

The census was no longer merely counting society. The census had started telling society what society was.

And once the State starts deciding your social status, people will naturally start fighting over what the State writes about them.

That is exactly what happened.

Caste associations began to appear. Communities started sending petitions to the census authorities. They demanded that their caste should be called by another name.

A community which earlier existed locally now needed a common name because the census needed a common name.

It needed an association because someone had to petition the government.

It needed a history because that history could be used to claim a higher status.

It needed numbers because numbers now mattered before the State.

And it needed a political organisation because the State had become the authority before which caste claims were to be made.

This is how an administrative exercise begins to change the society it claims merely to describe.

Again, the British did not create caste.

But saying this and stopping there is as misleading as saying that because rivers existed before dams, dams had nothing to do with changing rivers.

The British found caste.

Then they counted it.

Then they classified it.

Then they ranked it.

Then they put those classifications into official records.

And once those records began to matter, communities began competing to change their position within those records.

What may earlier have been local, fluid, disputed and dependent upon circumstances increasingly became standardised, bureaucratic and political.

And that is perhaps one of the least discussed parts of the modern caste debate.

Many of the things we today take for granted, caste lists, caste numbers, caste associations, demands for recognition, claims of backwardness or higher status, political mobilisation around caste numbers, did not emerge in a vacuum.

The colonial State helped create the administrative architecture within which such politics could grow.

And 79 years after the British left India, we are still continuing many of the same policies of counting, classifying and politically organising society through caste. The consequences are already beginning to show. What we are hearing today may only be the first warning. If this continues in the same direction, the social and political consequences in the years ahead could be far uglier than anything we are seeing now.

सुबह उठते ही विद्यालय की तैयारी में लगे बच्चे के पास इतना समय भी नहीं होता कि वह भगवान जी के समक्ष एक अगरबत्ती जलाकर खड़ा हो जाए। उसे

करमूले स्थितो ब्रह्मा, प्रभाते करदर्शनम्॥"
श्लोक याद करा दो तो उसके पास समय नहीं कि वह इसे दोहरा ले। वह इसके प्रभाव को कभी ��नुभूत न कर सकेगा। उसके पास सूर्य नमस्कार करने का समय नहीं है। व्यायाम करने का समय नहीं है। जो पाठ उसे सीखना है, उसे देखने का समय नहीं है। कोई खेल खेलता है तो उसके अभ्यास का समय नहीं है।

बच्चा उठता है और जल्दी जल्दी हॉर्लिक्स अथवा चौकोस मिला हुआ दूध पीता है। यही उसका नाश्ता है। पौने छह बजे बच्चा खाए भी तो क्या? जल्दी जल्दी उसका टिफिन रेडी होता है और वह लेकर विद्यालय चला जाता है।

जिन बच्चों को ख���लाने में मां, दादी नखरे उठाती हैं और संतान सुख प्राप्त करती हैं, उन बच्चों को एक डिब्बे में रोटी/परांठा ठूंस कर थमाकर भेज दिया जाता है। वह जाने कैसे खाता है, जाने कैसे भोजन मंत्र करता है, किसी को नहीं पता!

इसलिए सुबह सुबह विद्यालय भेजने का यह तरीका अपसंस्कृति का परिचायक है। यह ऐसी पीढ़ी का निर्माण कर रही है जिसने जीवन जीने का सुसंस्कृत ढंग नहीं जाना।

मैं कहूंगा कि सुबह के शिफ्ट में 7:00-2:00 बजे तक के विद्यालय की टाइमिंग बंद करो! बच्चों से उनका बचपन और सीखने का समय न छीनो।

और हाँ, कोचिंग बंद करो।

मुझे बच्चों के विद्यालय की टाइमिंग 7:00AM-2:00PM आज तक समझ में नहीं आया। बच्चों की सुबह कभी भी सुखद और सुकून वाली नहीं होती। वह सोकर उठते ही विद्यालय की चिंता करने लगते हैं। न संध्या वंदन और न योगाभ्यास आदि! ठीक से कलेवा करने का अवसर भी नहीं रहता। शायद ही कोई बच्चा पाठ पढ़कर विद्यालय जाता हो, जिसे अध्यापक कक्षा में पढ़ाएंगे!

खड़ी दुपहर को वह लौटते हैं। उन्हें ठोक पीटकर सुलाया जाता है जो स्वास्थ्य की दृष्टि से ठीक नहीं है।

यदि कोई ध्यान से देख रहा है तो वह इस समय सारिणी में बदलाव करने प��� विचार करे। सही समय 10 से 4 का ही है।

और हाँ, कोचिंग बंद करो!

Institutionalised sexual abuse of any kind is degradation enough of a society , but religiously sanctioned child sexual abuse is the evilest degradation of mankind .

Only Hindu Dharma is free of this curse in principle at least. No God or scripture even conceives of pedophilia , forget sanctioning it.

Therefore, Survival and eventual victory of Hindus is crucial to the world order if the world must not slip to a sub-animal existence.

If death cults are able to defeat us , this world will be reduced to a stinking brothel with unending Karmic darkness.

Rutuja was preparing for Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) Drug Inspector exam. Believing she couldn't pass on her own, her father bribed MPSC officials to leak the paper.

Two days before the exam, Rutuja shared the paper with her boyfriend, Gaurav, whose brother was also preparing for the same exam. Gaurav passed the paper on to his brother.

After the exam was conducted, but before the results were declared, Rutuja and Gaurav broke up. Gaurav believed she abandoned him because she was on the verge of becoming a govt officer. When the results were finally announced, Rutuja secured State Rank 7. She was featured in local media as a high achiever, and her coaching institute proudly shared her interviews (now deleted) across social media.

Driven by jealousy, Gaurav reported the paper leak to the MPSC, exposing the entire scandal. The police subsequently arrested an MPSC Undersecretary and two Assistant Section Officers involved in the leak. Gaurav was also arrested for accepting and forwarding the paper to his brother (who ended up failing anyway), making him a co-conspirator. Rutuja has since been served a notice.

The exam, which happened in March this year, now stands cancelled.

Thanks for the kind words, but I don't think there is any greatness in my stand.

I have always kept religion over caste and dreamt of a wider Hindu unity, but I guess that concept is dusted as of now, thanks to policy decisions in the last decade. Disappointing, but that's the reality.

Regarding my historical disadvantage, there is no specific disadvantage. The Mughals and then the British looted and tortured everyone, and by the time they left, every group was mostly poor and disadvantaged, including GCs.

Regarding OBCs, they are a politically backward, and not a socially backward group. No specific atrocities happened against OBCs. Many of the current OBC groups were landlords and kings. Till the late '80s, everyone was GC only; democracy and vote bank politics created the OBC, and now some of them retrospectively feel oppressed under the influence of Marxists and politicians.

मराठी सीखो नहीं तो यहां काम मत करो। यही है विविधता में एकता? यह तो केवल विविधता हुई इसमें एकता कहाँ है?

ऑटो टैक्सी चलाने वाले हिंदी बोल लेते हैं, टूटी फूटी अंग्रेजी भी बोल समझ लेते हैं। मराठी भी समझ ही लेते हैं बोल भले न पाएं।

जब वे 2 पैसा कमाने निकले हैं उनको कहा जा रहा हम कि मराठी बोलना, समझना सीखो वरना भागो।

भाग कर कहां जाएंगे? देश एक है या नहीं? अब महाराष्ट्र में मराठी स्पोकन कोर्स करने के बाद ही एंट्री मिलेगी? महाराष्ट्र सरकार मराठी बोलने वालों को ही वीज़ा देगी?

तमिलनाडु की घटनाओं पर यही भाजपा वाले एकता और अखंडता की बात करते हैं। आज कहां गई एकता अखंडता?

North Indians have lot of respect for South Indians..esp.,Brahmins.

I used to work for Glaxo India as a Area Business Manager in Meerut(Western UP) in 1998.

From there,after about 11months,moved to Thane in 1999,where I continued in Glaxo for almost 2.5 decades.

Drs,many of them used to show lot of respect when I entered their chambers with our Medical Representative.

I vividly recall one of the Senior most consultants( M.D.Phy.,) in Meerut,near Transport Bus Stand,stood up from his seat,when I entered his chamber,introduced myself.
Can't recollect his name,( I think it was Dr. Garg)
"aab South Indian,Tamilian ho"..was his remark!with smile and lot of respect in body language.

Just sharing this as I feel very good about it,even after 25 yrs.

Same with Maharashtrians,Gujratis,WB.
They have tremendous respect for South Tamils..

To earn the respect our predecessors, forefathers, ancestors have worked a long way.

It is not by command/demand but earned out of right attitude.

It is baffling to see BJP supporters be so hypocritical. They are some of the sanest people i know and have followed for a decade. If Karnataka implements a strict Kannada policy, all hell breaks loose. But when Maharashtra does it, I see people try to defend on how it's a rich language and how one should adapt. Simple fact is that if one feels his or her job is being difficult without the knowhow of any local language, they will learn it. You cannot implement it to any degree using the state appratus. And if you want to, might as well declare one national language and enforce it.

But the larger point is, if you stand with all the decisions, no matter how bad, taken by the party, it will become just another Congress. And we will be waiting for another mass movement to replace it.

It is on you and me to keep showing BJP when they are wrong so that they rectify their problems before they go out of hand.

And why do you think their own voters are becoming so radical? I think it is because after Shaheen Bagh, Farm laws and then CJP has shown them that they will always deal with anarchists with a velvet glove. While the arrests of reservation hatao movement protestors have been even bigger catalysts in alienating the supporters.

Add to that the fiasco of E20 fuel. I don't even know if it is really good or bad. But the perception among common folk is that it is not. Their famed IT cell has not been able to do enough to counter the narrative. And in this day and age, when a perception sticks, it is very difficult to get rid of it.

देखो, जब तक तुम ब्राम्हणों से द्वेष रखते हो, तुम्हारा हिंदुत्व केवल ढोंग है! प्रभुपाद जिनके शिष्य थे उनका नाम नही सुना होगा तो कम से कम आचार्य शंकर का नाम तो सुना ही होगा।

गोरों और उनकी औलादों की बनाई चार किताबें पढ़कर तुमने केवल बकैती सीखी है। सप्तऋषियों के युग से आजतक, जो भी ज���ञान रहा है वह ब्राम्हणों की परंपरा में ही बढ़ा है। आज के युग में भी जो जनेऊ, वेद, संस्कृत आदि जो कुछ भी है इन्हीं के पास बचा है। जिस राजनीतिक दल और जिस स्वयंसेवी संस्था के नेताओं को तुम हिंदुत्व का खुदा मानते हो उनका साहित्य इन्हीं ब्राम्हणों के घर से फेंके कूड़े से उठाकर लिखा गया है।

तुम्हारा दोष नहीं, भारत और सनातन धर्म के नाश के लिए ब्राह्मणों का विनाश अपरिहार्य माना गया है। ये हर शत्रु के ���्रमुख लक्ष्य रहे। और उन सभी शत्रुओं में वर्तमान में तुम्हारी नफरत की राजनीति सबसे बड़ी शत्रु हुई। परन्तु जब तक एक भी सच्चा ब्राम्हण रहेगा, वेद रहेंगे, संस्कृत रहेगी,योग रहेगा, धर्म की ज्योति जलती रहेगी।

ये लेखनी नफरत फैलाने वाले उन लोगों के लिए है जो दिनभर ब्राह्मणों के ख़िलाफ़ जहर उगलते हैं. सामाजिक समरसता क�� चोट पहुंचाते हैं.
