Women are allowed to engage in many forms of recreation and leisure, some of which fall under the guidance of the verse:
وقرن في بيوتكن ولا تبرجن تبرج الجاهلية الأولى
“And abide in your houses and do not display yourselves as was the display of the former times of ignorance.”
This verse indicates that indoor activities and permissible forms of amusement are allowed, so long as they are not explicitly prohibited by the Shariah. For example, women can have access to enclosed gyms, table tennis, and other board games. The entire framework is intended to safeguard them from individuals of corrupt inclinations.
If necessity requires them to go outside, then another verse complements the previous one:
إِنِ اتَّقَيْتُنَّ فَلَا تَخْضَعْنَ بِالْقَوْلِ فَيَطْمَعَ الَّذِي فِي قَلْبِهِ مَرَضٌ وَقُلْنَ قَوْلًا مَّعْرُوفًا
“If you fear Allah, then do not be soft in speech [to men], lest he in whose heart is disease should be moved with desire, but speak in an appropriate manner.”
Based on these principles, women are free to enjoy themselves within a private and enclosed setting where men have no access. If such an environment is ensured, they may beat the duff, sing, engage in lighthearted dancing, dress comfortably (even without hijab in such privacy), play games, and participate in any form of permissible amusement, so long as it does not involve immorality.
Whether it is called a bridal shower, sisters’ night, or Oblee night, the ruling remains contingent upon adherence to these guidelines. Conversely, even if it is labeled “Quran Sisters’ Allahumma Baarik Night,” yet involves immoral acts or the presence of men, it becomes impermissible.
Another thing I’d like to mention is a principle that states:
كل ما لا يتخذه الكفرة أو الفسقة شعيرة، فلا تشبه بهم فيه
“Anything that the disbelievers or the openly sinful do not adopt as a distinctive symbol of identity is not considered prohibited imitation.”
This principle accentuates that not every action performed by kuffar or uncouth people constitutes imitation. Rather, the act must be scrutinized in itself. Only when a practice is idiosyncratic and exclusive to them does imitation become blameworthy. For instance, some immoral people sometimes have multiple piercings (nose, tongue, belly button, ati bee be lo.). In isolation, such act is not a defining symbol, and thus a Muslim woman who can endure having multiple iron in her body (iron woman) may have as many piercings as she wishes.
On the other hand, wearing 7 T shirts plus 5 ties, 4 socks on the left hand and 3 head warmers on the left leg is preposterous and eccentric style associated with certain subcultures called “Alté babes” a modernized version of insanity. Such dressing is not welcome in Islam. Lol, this reminds me of the Hadith of Abu malik al-asharii, the prophet said:
ليشربن ناس من أمتي الخمر يسمونها بغير اسمها
“People from my Ummah will drink alcohol, but they’ll call it by another name.”
My point is, people now stylishly embrace madness and call it by another name.
Also, LGTV-HIV-APC people have acts exclusive to them, if you don’t do what they do, you can’t be classified among them, so why should you copy them?!
Conclusively, women can do their oblee night because it is not exclusive to a group of people or community. when done within the sharia framework, Muslim women can always have their good time.

I used the moment to share one of my favorite stories of the little hummingbird against the great forest fire.

Between last night and this moment, I have chanced upon numerous discussions concerning Muhammad bn Abdil Wahhab, his seminal work Kitaabu Tawheed, the Hadith of iftiraaq, and several related and unrelated discourses
In the process, I encountered a plethora of refutations & counter refutations addressing the misrepresented claims against the book and its author. Baarakallahu feekum Ikhwah!
To begin with, Kitaabu Tawheed comprises over 160 chapters that were/are meticulously structured around core theological themes aimed at explicating the doctrine of divine unity as conveyed by Allah & his prophet.
For someone to open his mouth Gbaga or use is hand to title a book “The book of monotheism”, he is methodologically obligated to substantiate each assertion with incontrovertible textual evidence from the Quran & authentic Hadith.
With all the misinformation flying around, one might assume that the author hermeneutically distorted the verses of the Quran or cited weak and unreliable hadith as evidentiary support.
Perhaps so that people won’t say imam Muhammad bn abdilwahab(the author) said rubbish in his book, he deliberately refrained from inserting his personal exegesis in ALL the chapters. Allahu Akbar, once he presents a chapter heading, he followed it directly with “Allah says…” & “The prophet said…”.
Take for instance, imam said “chapter: Explanation of Tawheed and laailaha illaLLAH”. You’d think he wants to use his own words to explain. The first thing you’d find under the heading are 5 different verses, followed immediately by a Hadith:
من قال لا إله إلا الله ، وكفر بما يعبد من دون الله، حرم ماله ودمه، وحسابه على الله تعالى
"He who professes that there is no true god except Allah and denies of everything which the people worship besides Allah, his property and blood become inviolable, and it is for Allah to call him to account"
Having engaged with the book on multiple occasions, I contend that no sincere Muslim would find fault with the book except one who falls into 1 or more of these categories:
An uninformed or deficient muslim who still harbors vestiges of shirk.
One who invokes deceased scholars or saints during times of distress.
One who subscribes to a form of religious pluralism that equates all religions as equally valid.
4. One who engages in occult practices Abi magic and erroneously labels them as Karaamat.
5. One who frequently patronizes or practices soothsaying and divination.
6. Even more explicitly, anyone who is drooling in outright shirk, to mention only but a few.
Perhaps the most reprehensible category to me are those those who have not even perused the book but hastily formulate their conclusions based on the polemics of partisan critics.
I therefore challenge any critic of the book to produce a single chapter in which the author demonstrably misquotes a verse or hadith, or relies upon spurious narrations.
Furthermore,Imam Idris A oni(PhD) has written extensively in critique of the book, yet has not, to my best of knowledge, recommended an alternative text that systematically teaches Tawheed. He is also yet to identify a specific chapter that ostensibly promotes extremism or terrorism, accompanied by a substantiated analytical critique.
If I were to undertake a critique of any work, without necessarily attaining the highest pinnacle of learning, I would adopt a methodologically sound approach. I’ll first thoroughly read the text, isolate specific passages or statements warranting critique, and then refute them with superior evidence and scholarly precision.
For instance, if I want to critique the statement attributed to sheikh Ibrahim Niass in a work titled
Sheikh Ibrahim said:
“Whoever loves me and sees me shall be in the eternal Paradise without any false claim, for indeed I am the successor of Ahmad Tijaani, a gift from Ahmad Al-Adnaani (the Prophet).”
Bismillah
Hayaakumullah! Halqah is not bidah ooo, I’ll mention two Hadith that justify the organization of Halqah.
For the sake of those who might not know what Halqoh means, it simply it a gathering of learning, where Muslims in particular improve their knowledge about the deen.
First off, we have a Hadith that explains the magnitude of reward attached to going to learn or teach in the masjid.
The prophet said on the authority of Abu Umaamah
“Whoever goes out to a mosque seeking nothing except to learn something good or to teach it will have a reward like that of a Hajj, with his pilgrimage complete.”
This justifies that both the sheikh and the attendees are heavily rewarded.
Now, as for evidence supporting the designation of specific days for such gatherings
On the authority of Abu saheed:
قالت النساء للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم غلبنا عليك الرجال فاجعل لنا يوما من نفسك فوعدهن يوما لقيهن فيه
“The women said to the Prophet: ‘The men have dominated your time, so set aside A DAY for us from yourself.’ So he promised them a day on which he would meet them.”
They requested for just one single day to take classes with the prophet. Let’s agree for the sake of argument that “shebi this one is just for women, and it’s because men have taken the prophet’s time”.
How about the Hadith of Abdullah bn masuud?!
Abdullah bn Masud used to teach us every Thursday. A man said to him: “O AbuAbdirrahman, I wish you would teach us every day.”
He replied: “What prevents me from doing so is that I dislike boring you. Rather, I choose appropriate times to give you admonition, just as the prophet would choose appropriate times to admonish us, out of fear that we might become weary.”
So clearly, Abdullah bn masuud understood the importance of weekly Halqah.
This same Abdullah bn masuud, when he was in the position to allow Asalatu, he frowned sternly against it. Reported by Abu musa:
Abu Musa al-Ashari said to him:
“I saw in the mosque people sitting in circles waiting for the prayer. In each circle there was a man, and in their hands were pebbles. He would say: ‘Say Allāhu akbar one hundred times,’ and they would say it one hundred times. Then he would say: ‘Say laa illaha illaLLAH 100x,’ and they would say it. Then he would say: ‘Say Subuhaanallah 100x’ and they would say it
Then he went on, and we went with him, until he came to one of those circles. He stood over them and said: “What is this that I see you doing?”
They said: “O Abu ‘Abdirrahman, these are pebbles with which we count the takbeer , tahleel & tesbih.”
He said: “Then count your sins instead, for I guarantee that none of your good deeds will be lost. Woe to you, O ummah of the Prophet! How quickly you are heading to destruction! These are the Companions of your Prophet still abundant among you. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul, either you are upon a path more guided than the path of Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him), or you are opening a door of misguidance.”
They said: “By Allah, we intended nothing but good.”
He replied: “And how many people intend good but never attain it.”
Throughout Ramadan, you observed your 5 daily prayers with consistency, and even went further, standing each night for 20 rakahs of Taraweeh.
You set aside smoking, alcohol, and habits that once felt inseparable from your routine, all for the sake of Allah.
And now, Ramadan draws to a close, look at yourself still here, healthy, steady, and whole.
What a subtle & powerful realization that you were never incapable. You have already lived this life, even if only for a month.
So perhaps the question is not whether you can continue, but whether you will allow yourself to.

I saw a video with a caption: Kini genotype anobi Muhammad?
Like how did we get here?
The prophet has become a figure of joke?
Mocking or making jokes about Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is not harmless humor, it is a major sin and big disrespect to the Ummah!
What you may see as a joke crosses a serious line of respect, faith, and basic decency.
It’s Kufr!
As a Muslim, you should know that anything sacred is not a material for joke or entertainment, you don’t cross those lines!
And to those of you liking, commenting and sharing such contents are sharing the same sin and punishment!
You consider it to be trivial and harmless, but it’s tremendous in the sight of Allah.

A thread:
I saw a comment that says the guy has to renew his ablution, then reestablish his solah.
He is not required to renew his ablution, he only needs to end the solah right away and start all over again.
When/If a grown lady passes in front of a praying man (solah, not adhkar or supplication), his solah becomes vitiated. This is owing to the Hadith of Abu dharr.
Note: passing in front here means when she passes and there’s no sutrah(barrier) between the praying person and the lady. But if there’s a sutrah, the solah is valid.
